1080p IPS Touchscreen Ultrabook for $699, 2/28 only Frys Online & B&M

This is a clearance model. They have replaced it with a model with the 3337u (1.8 ghz vs 1.7 ghz)

The original price is $1199.99, the model came out less than 4 months ago.

This is a 1 day sale
My recommendation is do an “instore pickup” a customer service rep pulls your computer and puts it on hold. Your credit card is not charged till you arrive at the store and show the same credit card and your id to confirm it is you.

Wow, that's pretty crazy! I'd be tempted if I were near a Fry's, even though I'm trying to hold off on notebooks until Haswell, and I still need to sell my current notebooks (I have too many).

As I remember the one flaw with that device was crappy battery life. Also for myself I rather have hd5000
(not sure if fry has the optional clip on battery) and the screen is 11.6 vs 13.3 (I'm comparing this to the ux31a touch which is 1069 @ bestbuy. So it is $400 cheaper but a bit smaller and shorter battery life.

of course nothing will have the hd5000 for another 6-9 months.

Word. I will pick up the next version of this lappy when it has Haswell. 11.6" is perfect for me--a lot more portable.

Yeah, I'm definitely interested in Haswell. Besides better IGP, supposedly it is much better on power usage. Then finally we may be able to have our ultrabook cake and eat it too with battery life.

That's what I miss the most out of selling off my Dell Vostro V131. It had the 6-cell battery that stuck out, but otherwise was thin like an Ultrabook. With that big battery it had a claimed 8-9 hour battery life. I would routinely get 5-6 hours out of it easily without having to try. To me most Ultrabooks are going backwards with battery life, sacrificing it for thinness.
