My TV only does 1080i and i'm planning on playing some 720p movies on it this weekend. Will this work? And also, will playing PC games work on 1080i? V-Sync or not? thanks. TV doesn't do 720p.

projection TV not a projector, and my video card is a GTX 260 so it should be coupled with some moderately good scaling software.

Need model number. Many of the older CRT rear projection sets would not accept 720p, only 1080i.

This. Your PC should be fine if you set it to 1080i60 or 540p.

Oh I was under the impression that 1080i was only 30fps, and that my TV couldn't do above that but oh well. I will try whatever this weekend, nVidia control panel should do the trick.

It's 1080i60. You get 60 interlaced frames per second.

Well didn't get a chance to do this...should tuesday. But the upside to this weekend is I got my converter box to work at 1080i instead of SD.
