Mine is coming this next wed ! It will do F@H, and I expect 1.2-1.4 million ppd.

I can't wait, but wondering if anybody else bit on a 1080 TI.

As much as I'd like to I'd need to get all new hardware to go with it to get decent performance out of it. :)

As reported, I got 1.1 M PPD average so far in F@H. With more F@H experience than mine, or during a period with better WUs from F@H than when I tested this, the average might be better.

In BOINC applications which can be configured to run multiple jobs per card, the 1080Ti's performance and performance-per-Watt are very close to 3584:2560 = 1.4 times that of 1080 if driven at the same clock. In F@H, ideas will be needed to get good scaling.

I don't plan to ever go back to 250w TDP GPUs, unless there is a really really compelling reason. This one uses 1.4x the electricity, for 1.4x the performance, so to me it's just more sensible to add another lower performing, lower priced card. As for running multiple instances of F@H, I believe my 1070/1080 were close to 100% of the power of the card, so unless the Ti isn't as fully utilized, I don't see any benefit to multiple instances.

I am getting 1.1 to 1.2 millon with my FTW3.

But new news. Both my Ryzen systems with video cards are beating my E5-2683's with video cards ! All of these were doing WCG, now one is doing LHC.

So its 12,500 ppd for the E5-2683 with NO video cards.

An average of 9100 for the 2 E5-2683's with video cards

And 10,450 average for the 2 Ryzen systems with video cards.
