Well, it depends on what model 1080ti it is. The Founder's Edition is a 250W TDP, so it's going to want, at minimum, over 21 amps to satisfy the power limit. AIB cards have power limits ranging from 250-350W+, where the card can draw up to 30 amps or more.

You'd have to know the power consumption of the rest of your system to determine how big of a power supply you'd need.

If you can share the power supply you have now along with the rest of your system spec, we can help figure out if you can power it or need an upgrade.

I was mainly wanted to 12 rail requirements.
It appears it is pwr hungry card.
Now I have to check pwr supply label, to see what I got.
I think I have two 12 amp rails

I am concern about 12 rails, not P.W. total rating
For example I have a spare OCZ Stealth Xstream II OCZ 700 SXS2 700W 80 Plus. Which doesn't have enough on 12 volt rail to handle it.
I can tell your concern is with the 12 volt rail based on your OP and thread title, but that still doesn't change anything with running a 1080ti on a 400w power supply.

That 10 year old+ PSU has one PCIe connector, and is not made/designed to handle a high-end card like the 1080ti. Even if you can get it to work initially by rigging it , you're either going to kill the PSU or your GPU. However, it's your stuff so......

Not to mention, POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. (Ok, if the "protections" in the PSU trigger properly, it should just "shut down". But these things are not always 100% certain.)

I think this will do fine EVGA 500 B
It got 40 amps on 12 volt rail.
The video card I am getting is Zotac GTX 1080 Ti mini
According to their spec pwr consumption is 250 watts, which mean 20 amps ?
Now, about other stuff.
CPU is Ryzen 3 3300X with GigaByte B450 Aorus Pro WiFi
Memory would be16 GB DDR4 GSkillz 3200
Intel 660p NVMe, and WD 1 TB Blue

You have plenty of power with that 700w power supply. PCIe1 and PCIe2 are on separate rails. a 1080 Ti has two plugs. You have a total of 432w between those two rails dedicated to powering the graphics card.
Thanks
Last night, it came in.
I installed into my oldskool computer for testing. It has a XFX 750 pwr supply with 62 amps on 12 volt rail.
My son did the test run.
Man I tell you what. That GPU is like space heater. I felt hot air coming out of the case like a heater vent.

All the higher end cards are like that these days. My 1080ti gets too hot to touch when a game is running, and will noticeably warm up a small room over a few hours.
