1066 Memory

I would like to upgrade a MSI K9N2 Amd 9550 system to 8 gig 1066 memory.

I purchased 8 gig , Tryed to boot first 4 gig pairs, System died after 20 minutes.
Than would not boot..

Not pleased with my selection of Manufacture.

SO Recommendations on Manufacture/model ...Please

Note: I plan on getting 8 gig and test 4 gig at a time, Than Test the 8 gig for compatability

in linux 64 bit OS...

I see a lot of recommendations for 800 memory with statements that 1066 is not
worth the headaches, I prefer to go to 1066 if possible...


Also: I see 1 manuf ( Gskill) does not guarantee that 8 gig ddr 1066 will function ?
Any other manuf make this statement...

8 gigs of ram at that speed (from what I hear) puts a lot of undue stress on the memory controller. I'd recommend using 8gb of 800 instead of 1066 (the difference is only a few %)
