Alright so we know the 1060 is hard launching on the 19th, i'm 99% sure I'm going to buy one, reguardless of msrp inflation. Now my question is how do i go about ordering one the second they hit the market? Is there a way to know the exact time newegg will release to the public? Any info is helpful thanks for reading!

On newegg and other etailer, you can setup email alerts whenever a product comes online. Suggest you get it done if you are looking to grab one ASAP.

If you care so little about markup why not just buy a better card that's available today?

Ehhh.... I personally recommend trying to get an AIB custom card closer to the $249 MSRP since they're launching on the same day. $299 is not a good bargain considering the RX 480 8gb for $240.

Well because i don't have the desire to game above 1080p, my 760 has lasted me this long, still quite happy with it actually but it is starting to show some age being in the lower mid range tier. Also my budget would allow for a 1070 but i'd rather buy a 1060, a new case, hdd and ssd.

OK, but to echo what others said, I would not pay more than 250.00 for a 480, and maybe 260 or 270.00 for a 1060 if they are a bit faster, more efficient, and overclock well.

300.00 is getting way to close to 1070 territory, although you will have a hard time finding one at list, but eventually the supply has to catch up. All this is assuming you have a decently fast cpu on the order of overclocked 2500k or faster.

yeah i don't intend on pay 300 on a 1060, i believe with the hard launch with the FEs and AIB at the same time will help keep the price closer to msrp, also i only intend on getting the evga acx2.0+ equivalent at stock clocks. Also my CPU is a i5 3570k clocked to 4.4 on stock voltage.

Make accounts with a few online shops with good return policies, rehearse your payment. Make sure your F5 key works. You should be able to find the nda time somewhere.

Then order on 3 or 4 sites, cancel the rest when the first one ships. If you're too late you can return or be a dirty scalper.
