If you use the + key on the keypad you'll see the speeds. Don't use enter ;). HT link speed should stay at 2200MHz at the most, 2000MHz minimum.

choliscott,

I see that you're using stock cooling, what kind of temperature are you getting?

Overclocking this high on stock cooling is a recipe for disaster. Come on.

Not from what I have seen. These run cool, and the stock HSF has 4 heatpipes. I probably should have tried mine for fun before I put the Sunbeam on.

I've overclocked a few Phenom II processors and IMO the temperature reporting is by far very conservative. I've had a few chips where it barely moves.

Reality, you have 100w chips at stock that with the extra voltage and mhz you're looking at probably double that maybe more. I have one that I can't run because of bad ram, but I've seen the HSF and it just doesn't have the surface area or fan for 200w.

At first I used CoreTemp & SpeedFan, & then I was told to use HWMonitor (TmpIn1 reading). I even used Gigabyte's easy tune hardware monitor, which read exactly like the TmpIn1 #'s)

What are you using for temp monitoring? That unlocked multiplier has to make the OC process a lot easier

Thanks for the hint on hitting the +. I guess I was so used to hitting enter & still have it show you the full # on the side.

Ok I was able to set the NB Voltage to 1.2, VBU-BN to 1.2.

However when I hit the + on the Cpu Northbridge Freq, all it gave it was the multiplier #'s & didn't list to which speed on the side. The minimum it gave was x5

If you use the + key on the keypad you'll see the speeds. Don't use enter ;). HT link speed should stay at 2200MHz at the most, 2000MHz minimum.
