Fry's (10/26 LA Times): $189.99 (In-Store Price) - $70 MIR = $119.99
Circuit City (10/26 LA Times): $229.99 (In-Store Price) - $70 MIR - $10 MIR = $149.99

PM at CC to Fry's. Comes out to be about $0.53 per GB. Too bad CC no longer price matches to AR price. Would have been absolutely blazing hot at $36.99 if they did ($119.99 - $3 - $80). Two CC's that I've visited said they would not PM to AR price. Company policy. Although I doubt it would work, try one near yours and see if they would. If so, then this is extremely hot.

But so far, here's where it stands:

Circuit City price before rebate: $229.99
Fry's price before rebate: $189.99

Your total: $229.99 - $44 (110%) - $70 rebate - $10 rebate = $105.99 + tax

Pulled it off @ The CC in Jantzen Beach In P-Town with a old friend of mine [I used to work there!] Nice deal. And to think I have 2 120's that are only 1/20 full.......So did not need this but thanks for the deal anyways

A lot of people, including myself, have found that when CC's after rebate price is lower than the price you are trying to match, CC won't pricematch.

Unless you get lucky or you know somebody as was mentioned above.

CC's price is higher than Fry's in either case - before or after the rebate. Two CC's that I've visited (Lakewood & Fullerton, CA) were willing to PM to pre-rebate price when I showed the CSR the ad, even after realizing that CC would be price matching in-store price difference of $40 instead of the AR price difference of $30.
