104 key Windows(r) 95/98 USB Keyboard $5.99 +tax/shipping

I would but I already am short on USB ports as I sadly only have 2 built-in 🙂. I have to add a nice big USB hub to accomodate all of my new devices lol.

Cool! It has the wide backspace key too. Just the ways I like it. It does prove to be a problem relying on the backspace key so much when I try typing on a traditional typewriter. I end up wasting a lot of paper.

I probably type at least 65 words a minute with about 1000 errors. Thank goodness for the backspace key!

Does anyone know if companies give you a typing test these days with computers or with traditional typewriters?

When I interviewed for a CSR position years ago, they tested me on a typewriter and I didn't do so well. No backspace key!

Did I tell you that I like nice big backspace keys?

Killer deal on the keyboard. Thanks! Maybe I'll get it next paycheck.

Ok what's the catch? Dented, scratched, used, refurbished? I've always liked Logitech's keyboards but this is a good deal.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to quote an exact shipping charge until your order has been packaged and weighed." - that may be a catch. You may pay more for shipping than for keyboard.
I would buy one if shipping is reasonable.

MCM Electronics is quite legitimate--I've ordered from them
several times...They charge realistic shipping, too. No
inflated shipping.

HOWEVER, keyboards are heavy, and even realistic shipping might
be substantial...

I have this exact keyboard. The only thing I don't like about it is the usb hub built into it will not power my USB optical mouse. I havn't tried a usb ball mouse yet but if anyone is interested in knowing, let me know and I will try it. I got mine for $3.75 off of egay plus $7.00 shipping.

I haven't payed for a keyboard in several years since they always have them free after MIR. Last one I got after full MIR was a Memorex TS1000. Very nice keyboard with hand rest.

When you're paying $5-6 per keyboard and they weigh a couple of
pounds which you have to pay shipping on, keyboards are heavy.

Shipping can easily run half or more of the price of the keyboard
itself...That's what I meant when I said heavy--heavy
relative to what you're paying for them. But you knew that
already, I'm sure.

Are the keyboards decent? My current keyboard is that swiftkey crap I got for free some time ago, so I'm looking for a replacement.

The keyboard picture says "Gateway." In my experience, brand name keyboards are just good quality beater keyboards. I currently use a Dell keyboard on its last leg of life.

Just checked my credit card statement, and the temp charge is just for $5.99, no shipping ... Perhaps they will change the charge when the final charge goes through, but if not, then its free shipping!

Wow...I didn't get the one at the top of this thead, but I got the $5 keyboard from compgeeks. WOW it's great. It's soooo pretty too. It's not silicone graphics silk screened...it's SILICON GRAPHICS. it doesn't have a hub, but it's a pleasant keyboard to type with (good response to keystrokes).

enjoy 😉

Got the keyboard, the company charged an outrageous $8.33 shipping! ... It is a relatively heavy keyboard, much more solid than the cheap keyboards you normally pickup at this price, but I was shocked that shipping was so much! I wonder if the charge will go through on my credit card, because I only allowed for an extra $6.00 charge on my credit card (I have an MBNA SmartShop card) ... Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait and see, and call if there are problems.

$14.32 was my total for the keyboard.

$8.33 shipping!

Do they charge this for every shippment? Pretty bad when the shipping is almost double what the product cost!

So the usb port on this thing will not power my IntelliMouse Optical?
