I'm up in Wichita Falls (2 hrs north of DFW), and we hit a high of 106 today, according to weather.com. Currently 104. I keep my thermostat at 75, but it's currently cycling on and off to maintain that (not constantly running).

Yesterday's official high temp was 109. Damn, that's just too hot!!

Bah, you people dont know hot.

That was around 11am. With no AC, and wearing cammies and full PPE. Talk about sweating.

Kuwait was even hotter, thankfully we werent there long. No idea how hot it was, I swear it made 125 felt cool. We got off the plane, and I thought we were behind the jets, and the exhaust was blowing on us. But it was just the wind... ugh.

The national electrical grid just got a grade of D, hope all those in hot climates have a backup plan.

Based on capacity or reliability?

I'm originally from Arlington - in DFW - but now live in Central PA and as much as I miss Texas it's sort of nice when the high is only 88.

113 in phx a while back. pretty sure I got heatstroke the other day haha.

Yeah, it was because of those wondeful Phx summers that my wife and I got our a$$es out of there, and move out here to Denver. In the 70's and raining right now. Loving it.

Ah...THAT's where it went...We had that weather LAST week. I'm glad it's gone (for now) and I'm glad you're enjoying it down yonder.

We had 4 or 5 days over 105, and IIRC, 109 was the worst...on two days.)
