If it tops 103, call a doctor. If it tops 103.5, I'd recommend ER. I have no medical authority whatsoever, but that's what I'd do.

Right.

If the fever is your only symptom, you should see the doctor if the fever;
-is above 104 for more than 2 hours despite taking Tylenol and trying to bring it down
-is higher than 102 for 48 hours
-is higher than 101 for 72 hours
-is higher than 100 for 96 hours

:thumbsup:

You are insane - 106 is fatal! If you hit 103 or above or any sustained time, you had better get to the doctor somehow!!

OP, if it breaks 103 I would start looking for medical attention. Call a friend to take you or something - if it gets much higher than that you should be calling 911.

Tylenol guys. I had a fever once it was only 100-101. It felt like total crap. On top of that I had a cheek infection. I lay on the couch. It was Chinese New Year. Our doctor was out of town so my mom force me to the ER at 10pm. They gave me a tylenol while I waited. Holy crap. I felt like 20x better. My mom proceeded to yell at me because she offered my tylenol at the house and I refused. Now it's my new strat. Tylenol multi symptom. With that I can get through work and all that. Yeah sure I got a nasal voice, but spray some afrin to clear my nose and take some tylenol, I'm good to work. I'll be a bit weaker, but at least my nose won't be a faucet and I won't be coughing like a dying man and at least I won't feel chills, aches, weak, whatever. Plus your fever feels a LOT better and more manageable.

The rest is up to your body to fight the disease. Even if medicine only makes you feel better, it helps a lot and lets you get by the day a lot easier.
