100pk Imation cd-r for $3.99 After Rebates (Office Depot)

In my Saturday flier they havea 100pk Imation cd-r for $3.99.

$44.99 - $30 Mail In Rebate
$11.00 Instant Rebate = $3.99

I think this is only B&M since I dont see it at their website. Item # 265-177

iMATiON's used to be good, they are almost to the point
where HI VALVE used to be. Total stinky
heh
3.99 for a 100 pack is pretty good tho if you dont plan on keeping the data
around for a long time.

B&M = Bricks and Mortar (Referencing to the actual foundations and materials the building was built on 😀 [lol actaully it means in store really 😉])

They quit working? Really?

Where did you get the info on what CDRs are good? Nobody wants CDRs if they won't record properly.

I've used Imation a lot w/o any problem, but if he's saying the disk can't keep the data long enough, well I have no idea about it.
The Imation 16X will be recorded at 32X no problem, also.

I've used thousands of Imation with no trouble. They're cheap and decent quality. Not the best, no, but better than many other "cheap" CD-R's. Too bad OD closed here, or I'd be all over it. 😀

I always wait for the staples deals, since Staples has never messed up on a rebate for me before! =-P

kind of annoying how we supposedly only know that "taiyo yuudens" are made to last. i mean the tests that shown them to be superior were done a while ago. are there any new tests showing that other cd makers havn't caught up? the dataloss fear factor is very good for taiyo yuden😛

<-- bought some fuji yudens today😛

I've used tons of imation CDR before. They works fine...but the top silver layer is pretty fragile..so you have take a better care of the CDs. otherwise, it works just as great as fuji.

This is a hot deal but be aware of rebate issues with Imation - I'm still waiting for Imation rebate from January (a Bestbuy offer). :| They were pretty normal in trun-around time last year, but was like pulling teeth this year. 🙁

I just received a $10 off $50 coupon in a mail on 5/6/02 from Office Depot... If you bought about another $5 worth of items, and IF you get this same coupon in the mail (since it's a B&M offer for this CDR deal, you'll need the original Office Depot coupon in paper form to do this), then you'd come out with a 100 pack of CDR's and about $5 worth of merchandise for free after the coupon, instant discount, and rebate. The coupon is valid online too, but the CDR offer is not online. I posted the coupon online, among some other Office Depot coupons ($20 off $75) in case you guys want to score a load of 20 packs of soda pop or whatever crazy things you manage to come up with... $20 off a inkjet printer like the HP Deskjet 845c would be $59.99 (it comes with a black and color ink cartridge, so it's just about as cheap to buy a new printer when you run out of ink), $20 off some inkjet cartridges, or one of my favorites: $20 off a laser printer toner cartridge (that tends to make me feel better) 🙂
