100mb router + 1gb switch = ?

Okay, so I have a simple home network.

10/100 wireless router
1gb cheap switch

If two computers are on the switch and transfering files to each other, is the connection 100 or 1000? Now DHCP is being handled by the wireless router. I just need to know if I should get a router that is gigabit.

If both PC's are on the gigE switch, they are both connected at gig speeds, so they're transferring at gig speeds.
