You think college employees/students are exempt from making mistakes or not being good at their jobs?

And many universities have some amazingly old stuff still up and running, not keeping up with security precautions is not a big surprise.

What has happened, has happened. The best thing you can expect is for them to handle the aftermath responsibly, and they seem to be doing so.
