The American people foted for Gore, the electoral college, after the Supreme Coup prevented a recount of the florida vote that would have given Gore the Presidency, selected Bush to be President by handing over the incorrect count to be certified. Gore is who the American people chose as for Pres. Of course nobody who doesn't understand the sacred duty of every American to question the government wouldn't be expected to know that either.

its another topic, b/c the current system is the electoral college. The popular vote shouldnt even be a factor since the deciding factor is the electoral college.

The popular vote is, in my opinion, the correct way to go. BUT, its not the system currently in place. So its another topic, in that the gov't should use popular vote not electoral college.
