i frequent this site a lot...even get a subscription to it...but i'm not into rice rockets .....nor am i proud of my own kind taking part in it....i just think a car needs 4 tires, some them seats, wheel, some them pistons...and it goes..coool dude!....but i donno man, i just had to go "...duuude..." at these specs.....i don't wanna meat that civic dude in a duel......

aha the writer adds "the most demented improvement"..thought that deserved a smile....

i knw some of u are ricers...and most of you are computer dudes....and us computer dudes "hotrod" our own comps...modding it to be super cool AND super cool....aand we thing (EDIT: WHY DO I ALWAYS spell "think" like "thing"?!?! arg!!) we spend a lot of money...sheeesh.....

what should we call our rigs btw... rice rox0rs?
 
Nobody overclocks their computer and plans for it only to last 2 hours stable, though. It's nicer to have a computer that you can use for a while... or a car that you can drive for a while.

Ho replaced the stock four in his 1994 Si in favor of the more powerful B18C, a 1.8-liter twin-cam VTEC found in the Acura Integra GS-R. This easy swap is so popular that the B18C has emerged as the small-block Chevy of this new generation of hot-rodders (and, dubiously, has also led to Integra theft rates 2.5 times as high as any other vehicle).

Maybe this explains why my '99 GS-R sedan was stolen and stripped down to nothing.

that sucks! my friend's got stripped down too! except it wasn't a GS-R...aha it only had the sticker...puahahhaha...but still...

those frekain ricers....damn them ... :| hehe

The engine has been beef up. The supra inline 6 turbo engine are so tough that it can squeeze 500-600hp without any kind of engine work but with proper tunning. I am no expert at this but "He upgraded the pistons, rods and a host of engine internals" and he owns a tuning shop. The car should run just fine without blowning any major parts(engine). No Flame intended, just my .02

I was not entirely sad to see the GS-R go - it was very noisy and not an ideal commuting car - but I was pissed that the thieves scraped "Got Your Ass" and worse into the nice Mediterranean Pearl Blue Paint. On balance I liked the car overall.

I love Keith Ta's car, I've been watching it evolve for 2 years now...lots of haters here, I know, but I absolutely love that Supra. gorgeous. nice guy too, posts on supraforums...or at least used to.
 
yea i was surprised when i flipped pop sci open and saw articles on rice🙂 but the articles were good, and the cars were actually impressive. good stuff!

nicer pics in the mag though. i esp like the supra rollcage.

I have been considering doing something like this for my next car. But considering that we are going to get 16 to 24 inches of snow, I think I will stay with a front wheel driver until I moved to California.

i am a good friend of keith ta. the supra is even more impressive in person and is a thrill to ride in.

and car that can make it into popular science is a marvel of technology.
