$1000 Vizio 47" 1080p 120Hz

I guess this could be in Hot Deals, but whatever.

I got the upcoming batch of Costco coupons in the mail yesterday, and on the first page is one for $300 off Vizio's 120Hz 47" "XVT" model, which would make the final price $999.99. I've been looking at this TV for a while and that might be enough to get me to take the plunge. The only thing that might hold me back is their upcoming 55" XVT model. List price on that will be $2000, and Costco will likely sell it for $100-$200 cheaper than that.

Anyone else eyeing that deal? AFAIK, it beats the pants off anything in the pre-Christmas sales at any store.

That's something to think about, for sure.

I also noticed that Sanyo has a $1600-$1800 1080p projector out now. That's also very tempting, even if the black levels aren't perfect according to reviews. 100" would be nice.

I would wait until CES news starts popping out before buying anything (Jan 8th), but that 55" XVT could be quite the sleeper, but LED back lighting is supposed to be more common and cheaper this year.
