It took me a very long time to get to 1000. I had about a half post per day average for years until the last few months where it now has increased to 0.75 ppd. I visit a lot, but I tend to stay in the shadows. Oh well, at least I witnessed the legendary threads as they happened instead of the newbies reading about them afterwards.
