Good deal here at Reptile Direct. 1000 crickets for $16.59. Just ordered some myself. In addition to taking credit cards, you can also pay with PayPal.

They probably don't use the USPS for shipping.

So that's why the FedEx drivers drive so fast, and leave the doors open even on the highway - they've got crickets up their shorts!

Thx. My Bearded Dragon will be happy. Make sure none these get loose in your house. The chirping sound they make will keep you up all night.

I recall that pets.com sent fish via mail and even had a guarantee that they would be alive when they arrived. Regardless, they had some excellent coupons back in the day...too bad they went out with the other dot coms.

Would be nice if it was closer to Winter. I usually stock about 3K crickets for the Winter as it is sometimes difficult to get live ones here in MN.

I have a swimming pool that is never used anymore in the back yard. Hasn't been used in about 4+ years so it is all swampy and a whole bunch of natural debris is in there. I am betting there is atleast one cat at the bottom and i know a few squirrels. Anyways there is 1 very large frog/toad and 1 medium sized frog/toad in the pool. :)

Crickets would drown before the frogs/toads get them and the frog/toad don't catch non moving stuff I think. I believe one time some nature channel said if the bug in front of them does not move then they won't get the bug. Bascially the frog will die if none of his food move. :D

(Wow a pointless post.)

That's exactly what I was thinking too, when I read the first post. I remember fishing with my grandfather, when I was probably 10-12 years old, and I used to run around in the fields catching crickets and other such bugs to use as bait. I think he bought some too, from a local bait shop. Those buggers can make quite a racket. We kept them in the garage, and you could still hear them at night.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.... Martha Stuart told me I could buy chicks via mail order.

Baby chickens are so deliciously tender.

Not a bad deal at all, but I just pick up a dozen for $1.25 every month for my Tarantula. No storage issues:)

Yeah, but you haven't lived until you've tried baby seal meat.

Hmmm. Crickets good to terrorize IT down in the basement. IT doesn't like the dark and screams constantly. IT needs to be punished. IT will have fun with crickets. IT puts on the lotion!

IT PUTS ON THE LOTION!!!
