This is what he will need

Graphics card with or without tv out
Hard drive 40gig or larger
sound card nothing special but good
3 speaker sys nice sounding
pwr supply of at least 400wt if not in case
opitical mouse
keyboard
Screen preferably 17inch

If anybody can help me in configuring a system, their help would be greatly appreciated

go to newegg. com and look around, they have some of the best prices anywhere

processor : amd duron or athlon ($38.00 - 170.00) really depends on what speed
keyboard : keytronic ($7.00)
mouse : microsoft intellimouse Optical ($17.00)
screen : viewsonic, kds, phillips (all really REALLY cheap)

you dont really need a 400W PS, 300W would probably work just fine

you need to fill out some more specific specs that you can work off, not just say i need this thing and this thing and this thing really cheap, i could build a $500 comp if i wanted, but that drops in to the obsolete crap zone
