A 12-year-old girl with an ear irritation has stunned doctors after they found she was incubating an entire ant's nest inside her head.

So far medics have extracted more than 1,000 ants from Shreya Darji's ears, with doctors baffled as to how and why the insects continue to breed inside her canals.

About 10 live ants crawl out of her ears on a daily basis.

/methinks they should check her bed . . .
//sell her earwax as ant-bait

Didn't watch the video, but I'm skeptical of the story. "Fuck if I know" is an implausible excuse from doctors with modernish equipment.

Ants may be small but 1,000 still requires a decent amount of space. Wonder where the hell they're going. Was going to say they should do a MRI or CT scan but sounds like they did one... weird. How do you not find them with those scans?

Dr Jawahar Talsania, 58, senior Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon, in Gujarat, said: ‘We have conducted all possible scans on the child including an MRI and CT scan but they are all normal.

[Dr Jawahar]"We don’t believe the ants are laying eggs inside the ear as we've not spotted a queen ant inside."

If it's not complete flim-flam, there's something in her ear that's attracting them at night while she sleeps

I once had a stuffed bear in one bedroom that turned into an ant's nest. Was kind of creepy. I think a queen flew in and set up shop in the bear.
