I was just at my local Sam's Club (Hawaii) picking up some Roses (18 roses for $15) for my wife, I came across these:

100 Verbatium Data life 8x 74 Min CDRs for $24.97. It was 2 50 packs wrapped together. I know some of you swear by these cds, and for $.25 each it's not a bad deal.

They also had a CTX 19" monitor (.26 DP) for $282 and it also had a $40 rebate.

Hopefully this helps someone.

Only a true man would still look for the deal while trying to impress the ol' lady.

God bless ya brotha!

I know what you mean. In Hawaii, everything is expensive. I grew up in the Midwest where a gallon of milk costed less than $2. Here, at the local supermarkets, it costs around $6..

Unless this is something different than they've had here for the
last couple of weeks, they are the "Value Life" not the "Data Life"
product from Verbatim. The "Value Life" line has a logo-less plain
white front; I don't know if there are any other differences between
the two lines. I love the Data Life; I can't comment on the "Value
Life" as I've never tried them.

Just wanted to (hopefully) clarify the situation. If anyone has
experience with the "Value Life" I'd like to hear about it... The
74 minute DataLife blanks are getting harder to find.

I've bought a few spindles of the "Value" Verbatims, never had any problems. I think they're 8x, so they might not be good if you have a faster burner.

itsmeeh - You may want to try using Sam's club locator assuming you're a member. If not I dunno if you can get a free pass or pay $5 at Wal-Mart to gain access at Sam's Club?

Anyone?

I've used several spindles of the ValueLife Verbatim CDR's (all the way back then when they were around $50.00 a spindle...geez..and now look at the prices...*sigh*), and I never had any problems with them. Actually they are my CDR of choice (well, second to TDK) since they have a real nice dark blue on the bottom and a very white clean top which is perfect for labeling either with a sharpie or one of those CD Labelers. I hope this information will help people out somewhat. :)
