According to Luminosity. Small college town kids that are attracted to and have time to fart around with Luminosity.

Edit: Oops. Lumosity.

The majority of these are small, shitty college towns.

I want to move to Ithaca, NY....said no one ever

Ithaca is an awesome city. I'd easily rank it among the best in Western NY. Although it's a 2 hour drive, there's a shitload to do there. And, their chamber of commerce, or whoever it is, does an excellent job of planning events. For example, over Spring break, they have an "Ithaca Loves Teachers Week" - tons of special events planned, in addition to what's already there. http://www.ithacalovesteachers.com/schedule.cfm . The area is surrounded by natural beauty, with all the gorges and waterfalls. I'd rather spend a day at the state parks there than spend a day at Niagara Falls (both are equal driving distance for me.) My son turned down job offers in Buffalo, Olean, Orchard Park, and a couple other places, waiting for a particular company in Ithaca to offer him a job. They have Cayuga Lake & all the lake related activities, as well as a diverse selection of restaurants - i.e. Thai food, Mexican, etc. Plus a pretty damn good pizzeria with a wood fired oven. (Yummmm!) I'd move there in a heartbeat if I was able to maintain the same amount of expendable income, housing, etc. And, if you look at the stats for their high school - a public high school, they're pretty damn good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ithaca_High_School_(Ithaca,_New_York)

As a fellow San Franciscan, I can attest to the fact that there are plenty of stupid people here. Maybe we're bringing down the average... :hmm:

I find it suspect that a town that includes Harvard and MIT, and has the greatest number of colleges of any city in the US, is so far down the list.
