Hi,
One user was complaining about his computer being slow. I checked it out and on the first hand everything seemed ok.
When i looked at the backup logs, this machine takes 5-6 hours to backup, in stead of 2-3.
Its seems when the system is in some kind of disk activity the processor load is between 90-100%.
That is 1. when defragging with diskkeeper
2. when copying files from one disk to another
3. when a backup is made
The system:
1ghz pIII
intel vc820 mobo with latest bios/patches
256 mb (expensive) rimms
2* 30 gb 75gxp (on the same ide)
3dlabs oxygen videocard
generic network card
os: winnt 4 sp 6a
Oh and yeah i did activate dma under nt.
suggestions?
marco
