Sweet, I can always use extra CDRs (I already have around 200 Imations sitting in front of me, but for $10, who can resist?)

Bump for the good brand CD-Rs :)

Interesting, Imation seems to be dumping these 100pk CDRs on the market for a very low price. OD had them for $4 AR and then CompUSA had them for $6 AR within the past dew weeks. I picked up on both of those deals. :)

I recently bought some Imation CDR's 700/80min and using cdridentifier they
came up as CMS. While the cd's burn alright in my plextor they are VERY bad
at overburning. I've tried to overburn 3 now with 708/713/736mb and all
three locked up my drive and i had to reboot to get the cd back out.

However i have bought five 50 packs of the PNY 16x for $3.95 about 6 months
ago on a best buy deal and while the identifier comes up as "Unknown" they
have burned flawlessly on every single burn without one coaster. Also something
to note is i sucessfully overburn the pny's up to 753mb on atleast 4-5 different
occasions.

I'm in need of some new cdr's but it seems as thou all deals these days are clustered
with massive Rebates i need a good flat fee >$5 =)

Nice post i just might pick up some more of the pny's

BB website sez these Imations are 16x. PNY look to be 12x, possibly.

Pnot, if you want to burn more on a CD than it will reasonably hold, just go and buy some 90-minute CDRs or something.
