I ordered some of these last week when they were $65 shipped (about the same price) and they are TYG02s. I will say that they perform excellent (good Kprobe scans) in my NEC burners (3520, 2500), my Benqs as well as my old Toshiba. Great printing surface as well.

I dont get it. It says "value line"

What does this mean? Because these value line ones are significantly cheaper than the other 8x ty hubprintable ones that supermediastore advertises. Can anyone tell me the difference between this and the other ones which are $40 shipped? They seem the same to me, but they are at two different pricepoints.

When I got these I think I figured it out. They are wrapped in like heavy, sticky, shrink wrap. Somewhat hard to get open. My guess is you are paying less because of no cakebox.

I bought the non value line one and it had no cakebox. Actually according to supermedia store they said authentic 8x TY's has no cakebox.

If you are not in the US you can buy several different models of Canon pixma printers that can print on cd/dvd media. If you are in the US you can convert the printer so that it will on discs also. You will have to buy a tray from e-bay or know someone overseas that can order one for you though. Typical e-bay prices are $20 - $35.
I converted my MP780 and love it! I can get a full set of ink for less than $10...
My dad has the Epson R300, and I think the prints from my Canon look a little better. Not that the epson is bad, but the ink is more expensive.

Last week Fry's had the MP780 (Normally about $200 - $250) for $100 after rebate. It will print, fax, scan, copy, has a doc feeder. Great printer.

Yep. I have the IP5000 and it prints perfect on discs. Ink is ridiculously cheap too. If you find the right places, they can go for $1 a tank.

I got my DVD's today... TYG02

So far, I've burned 3 bad burn in a row...12x, 8x, and 6x.

I ended up using some CMC AE1 media at 12x without issue.


My Burner is A nec-3550A with current firmware.


Bummer......never had a problem with burning until now.
