Sorry, I thought you meant voltage locked. As far as which Fury models you can unlock to FuryX, that's complete luck of the draw. We haven't seen enough of it to know whether or not it's many, all, or most that can be unlocked. There should be a thread on some forum where members are doing it and you can get an idea of the odds.

We used to have threads like that here, but it seems like those days are gone here at AT. :(
These days are not gone. Simply put very very few people on this forum purchased r9 fury branded products so not many bug threads on here about unlocking it.

There must not be many cards selling considering the lack of such threads on AT-VC&G, period. Not just Fury cards.

As consumers we totally win (I unlocked a 9500 NP to 9700 back in the 90s, failed with an 9600 to 9800 :(, and then for the GF when we first started dating got her an Athlon II X2 which unlocked to an X4 with all cores fully functioning :D) but it totally killed AMD.

Buying up low margin parts and unlocking them to their higher margin counter parts.

But, hey, they even promoted it (at least for the CPUs) so I guess no harm no foul.

On the Intel side I bought into the legendary Pentium Dual Core E2140 overclocking potential. Bought it, got a lemon, cried for many moons.

Thread cleaned. Nvidia is not on topic in this discussion, or this forum.
