possibly. The ad shows the rebates, but the website is not showing rebates on ANY of the CD-R's for sale

if you read the posts above, he mentioned that it's from
june 1st through 7th. Checking the bestbuy website right now won't tell you anything.

EDIT: heh wow it's already june 1st on the east coast.
anyways, you should check the ads rather than the website.
the website will probably be updated tomorrow.

fuji is not reliable with there rebates...I have lost one rebate from last year..never got the money and recently bought a 100 at BB and have yet to see the rebate $18 at the time..I will follow up as it has been about 10 weeks now....

I should point out I did not use the web to register the rebate this time..last time I did and never got paid....

i used the web when they had 6 dollar rebates for what was it, ea. 25 pack. they came through. another one worth 10bucks on another deal did not... that is i searched the fuji site and it had none of my info.

i wrote an email to them, got a reply asking for my documents to be faxed over.... lucky i did make them... faxed them, and in 2 wks i got the 10dollar check.

Yeah, they are really slow with the rebates. They have that online rebate thing - what a joke, there's no time savings at all using it.

I did the rebate from CUSA a few months ago and the rebates went through Fuji. I did the online form and got all three $6 rebates within 6 weeks. 🙂

Always the sweet Fuji CD-R deals from Best Buy!
*bump*

P.S. The online rebate thing is not at all as fast as they claim but I have received every one of my rebates sofar. They have a number you can call to track down your rebates too I think, I had to do that once.

I contacted csr via online help..they said if after 12 weeks and no rebate to contact them as they can not tell anything till it has mailed and if it does not mail at that point they can get faxed info and start over

amazing other rebate center ca ntrack rebates

There used to be though... I recall when they first started offering the online rebate processing I got my rebates back in as little as 2 weeks!!
I still get all my rebates back from Fuji but they're taking around 4-6 weeks nowadays.

I have done this deal at least a couple times on diff'rent occasions. The last one had a Fuji $16 rebate plus a Best Buy $6 rebate but the final price was still about $10 as the inital cost was higher so this is a better deal messin' wise (plus initial lower cost in case something goes horribly awry). Anyhoo, I did use myrewards and mailed them both on May 3. The Fuji rebate came through in about three weeks. The BB has not, as yet.

If you ever do not get a rebate it is imperative to call because it seems that some of the less reputable rebate companies have a nefarious secret policy in place to file them but not pay out until they are contacted again.

In case anyone does not know these are excellent Taiyo Yuden discs. Free shipping is normal. State taxes apply, where applicable. Batteries not included.

P.S. what's the deal with AT&T brand CD's? I've never seen those before but such obvious licensing is really bordering on lunacy. While it might seem a great idea in the boardroom, I assure corporate America that I, for one, am generally suspicious of such products -not unlike "GE" electronics and appliances and "Sears" services. The increasing desperation of corporate marketing is so sad. But I digress... :disgust:

I got the ATT blanks once. CDRIdentifier said they were identical to Imations, which I've always had good luck with (other people do complain about Imations, YMMV). The price is certainly good.

That said, I always stock up on the Fujis when BB has them on sale. I trade a lot of concerts and music traders pretty much insist on TY manufactured discs, which is what Fujis are.

As far as the rebates go, I've ony had to call once on Fuji. If its possible to register the rebate online (not this week, unfortunately) do it-its far faster.

Just purchased. Made sure they said made in Radioactive Geisha Land (Japan) and confirm that these are the gold standard Taiyo Yuden discs. The only CDR disc that reliably plays in my picky car so far. Has anyone else noticed that there are less discs sold made in Japan in retail stores? I have been leisurely looking and only noticed that this particular pack of FujiFilm and a 50 pack by Sony are the only ones I came across that are made in Girls with Bad Teeth Land (Japan).

I also did the online rebate thingy and will see how things turn out. I had no problems with the 20-30 mail-in rebates I send the past 5 years other than the time it takes to get to you, but recently I noticed that they are come in about 1-2 months, at least for me. Here's to being on a roll.

P.S. - I have nothing against RGL or GwBTL. In fact I speak their language and live in predominantly Nihon community.

Fuji's are our friend!! Actually had to go out and GASP, pay (*&^%(*&^ retail for a spindle a week ago as I missed the last deal. Not this time, on this one like flies on (you fill in the blank). Gonna grab a couple of 100 packs

How can you tell? Does it say "made in japan" on the label? Are all "made in japan" fujis Taiyo Yuden?

I can't say that all CDR's made in little steps, fan your face, Kimono land (Japan) are Taiyo Yuden, but it sure seems like it in my experience. And so I took the chance and bought it, made sure, now I'm informing you all to the GREAT news.

Radioactive Geisha Land (Japan)

HAHA...uh...not.

From my experiences, all Fuji's are Made in Japan. Some TDK's are Made in Japan, some in Taiwan. Then pretty much the rest of the brands aren't made in Japan.
