I opened a joint account with my dad. Does anyone know if joint accounts have survivorship, I didn't see a check box for it? I called up and the CS person had no clue what that was.

Did you still get the $100? I'm considering doing this too.

wow so there really is no catch? just open the account, put a dollar in it, and voila?

From your sig, I might be getting old, but my eye was drawn immediately to the hole above her naval where the jewelry USED to go.

I think in 10 years time, the belly button ring and lower back tattoo will be seen as the dumbest things since, well, pierced noses.

lol!!

If it's a joint account either one can have access to it right? If so then I don't think you need to worry about what would happen if something happened to either one of you. Or are you asking something else?

I'm worried that if one of us dies, half of the assets would get split into the estate instead of going all to the surviving person, which is the intent of the account.

That's more based on whether your state is a community property state or not. If it is, then your spouse gets your property at death (there are some exceptions, though).

Where do you see this? When I clicked on Promotional Details, it still says 8/31/07. Is there another link I should be using?

When I did it I had to enter the promotion code CSLN. Not sure if it's the same now, but I'd imagine so.

Yeah, I did it, but the promotion details still say 8/31/07, not 9/31/07. I don't want to open an account if I missed the deadline.

Can anyone confirm the current terms and conditions? It allows the use of the code but doesn't really say whether it really is still valid
