Buying a budget 32" LCD for gaming. Wanna keep it under $500. I can get a RCA 720p for $348 or a Vizio 1080p for $448. I will be sitting around 4-6ft from the LCD while gaming. I just don't know if its worth the extra on a 32". These are my only 2 choices where I live.

To me the answer is yes for both, and here is why: if you're using a PS3, watching blu-ray in 1080p is fantastic.

That LG is sweet but I was never one to buy a LCD TV on the net so UPS/Fedex can throw it around before it gets here then me have to spend $30-40 to ship it back if it does come DOA. At least with wal-mart if it gets dead/stuck pixels or dies in the first 90 days I can go back in and exchange it. BTW I am quite happy with my 42" Vizio. If I got the LG and it had stuck/dead pixels I'd have to deal with it. It will be used as console mostly maybe hooked to my PC at some point for gaming only.

Poll added.

I responded to the poll before reading the OP. Whoops, didn't realize this was about gaming. I agree with RoloMather.

He said gaming, I assumed this 32" isn't his home theater set. But if he does plan on watching movies, then perhaps it might be worth the extra few bucks.

If you are sitting 5' or closer it's definitely worth it. If your sitting 5' or farther, you won't be able to tell the difference.
