How long does it take to get your credit card.
---------------------------------------------
It took 10 days time for me.

Ok. I applied. Am I supposed to get a reply via email whether I'm accepted, and how soon does that take? I also applied for the $30 Amazon.com credit card at the same time and I got a response within hours.

Signed up back in June for this and still have not received my credit. Called a couple of weeks ago and they said they would check into. Didn't hear anything back, so I called again a few minutes ago. They said they gave me 1500 Sony points instead of the $100. I ended up speaking with a supervisor and she said to fax her the promotion and she'll check into it. 1500 Sony points is worth a whopping $12. I'm not pleased.

The last three credit cards, I've applied for for the purposes of some promo, I was accepted within minutes. However, this one just says we'll contact you via mail within 30 days, whether you were accepted or not. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Someone answer me. I applied for the sony card last week and haven't heard anything whether I was getting it or not. Am I supposed to get a response from them? This deal is supposed to expire by end of month.

I just got my card in the mail about 2-3 weeks after I signed up. I also have already seen my credit on the card 🙂

I got approved and my card came in the mail today. They sent me two cards, in case I want someone else on my account. Yeah, right?! I called up Sony's number on the card's back, and asked if they still give a $100 credit as the website said, and they said it'll show up soon. I'll post back when it all happens.

Thank you again for joining the Sony Card family. This is to inform you that your $100 card credit, per the special signup offer, has been approved for processing and will appear as a credit on your statement within 5 business days.

Yah how long did it take from sign-up to them notifying you got accepted? I've been waiting 2 weeks and no word.

A couple of days, literally. I already had a Chase credit card. When I went online to check my Chase accounts, about four days later a new Sony account showed up.

(My $100 credit is now shown on my Sony card. That paid for over half of my new G-Star jeans)

This link is a newer offer ripped from SD. Nice thing about it is that it doesn't expire until end of next year, and if you are approved instantly, they give you the CC info so you can make a purchase (and get your credit soon, hopefully) right away.

I've already gotten 4 $100 credits from them this year and have not had a problem with it coming yet, shows up in like 2-3 weeks with the email.

Just applied and got instant credit. How long after you buy the first item, will you get the $100 credit?

Thanks.

So right after the first purchase item, they will notify you by mail that you have the $100 credit?
Do you have to buy something at SonyStyle or you can use it to buy anything anywhere and get the $100?
Anyone has the toll free number on the back of the card b/c I need it to buy something at Monarch?

Thanks.

No, you have to wait until they email you about the credit, takes 2-3 weeks after first purchase.

You can buy anything, anywhere.

erwin1978: You usually don't get an email saying that you're approved, the card just shows up. With the link I posted, you get instant approval (or not), so you can use the card right away. None of the other Sony card $100 offer links had instant approval, and the card just comes or it doesn't. You can always call Bankone (now Chase) to see.

I did it and the instant approval only lets me use the card on sonystyle. It says in 2 weeks I'll get my card in the mail, I guess you have to wait until then to use it at will.

Yes. I finally got my card after 2 weeks of waiting. I'm so giddy as a school girl selling girl scout cookies.

What can I buy? Can I buy somebody something?

Personally, with all the junk Sony has been pulling lately (such as installing rootkits on your computer without warning) it's not worth $100 to deal with them to me.

I was talking to willy. Do you get an email notifying you that you got accpted for the credit card?

Nope, it took a week for me to get my Sony Card.

It took eight days after my first purchase for my $100 credit to show up online. I asked two SonyCard representatives to verify I would get it and they all said I would. And I did.

I've already gotten 4 $100 credits from them this year and have not had a problem with it coming yet, shows up in like 2-3 weeks with the email.
How?? You got four of the same Sony Card?

But if you don't mind the small credit hit, this is the perfect way to get back at Sony - get the card, use up the free $100 credit, and cancel.

William, I got 4 credits with 4 different offers (and cards) in 2005. Working on one more now, I don't do the same offer more than once but you probably could.
