100% CPU Usage

I have a Intel DP43TF (i know its crappy) mobo, Duo E8500 3.16ghz, 6 gigs ram and a evga 9800 GT. And a 500 watt Antec Earthwatts psu

While playing WOW ill go from 60fps down to 2 fps every say 20 mins ish. give or take. and when i check everything, my CPU is at 100% usuage. when it goes back down to 30% the FPS jumps back up...


Does anyone know why this is happening?? Or how i can fix this ?? pls help

Anit-virus doesnt show as using a lot of mem, only about 100mb or less most of the time. windows updates are on manual. SVChost.exe could be it. as sometimes i do see 3 to 5 of them running and using on avg of 250000 kb or more. cant remember exact numbers, if it is SVCHOST. how do i go about fixing that?? thanks

The last 2 pc's I worked on with your symptoms had rootkits on them. Run Gmer and see if it comes up with anything.

whats your memory use doing before and after this happens? i remember it happening on my C2D system and it happened when WoW got close to using 2 gigs of memory. It would do that and dump alot of what it had cached and then be fine again
