My computer is using 100% CPU. I dont know why, could this be a virus. I do not have that many programs running.
I reinstalled windows even and it is still the same. Im pretty sure i have enough ram
Any suggestions?

How did you formatl your drive Do you delete the partition and format the drive? Run the anti-virus program with latest DAT to scan though the drive. Check any programs are running on the background use up to 100% CPU in Task Manager.

Describe your system (motherboard mfg, video card model, audio card, etc...)

There many reasons other than a virus that can cause 100% CPU utilization.

Give us your system specifications. We need to know what hardware you use and what Operating System.

I had similar a few weeks ago on the kids system. Adaware didn't fix it but spybot s&d did.

Since you did a format and reinstalled windows I doubt that this is the problem. Actually you didn't say format. If you didn't format try running spybot.

what process is using all of the CPU?? Winamp 3 likes to use 100% cpu. If you use winamp, go to version 2.91 i think. some version of 2.xx
