100' Cabling for a Projector and Monitor (How?)

My church recently moved to a permanent building (praise the Lord!) and we're in the process of getting our video system set up in a permanent fashion. My question here, since I have had little experience with running video signals (SVGA - up to 1024x768) long distances, is simply how to do it! I have used long DB15 cables in the past with adequate results at around 25 feet, but I know that the small signal produced by a video card won't go near the 100 feet I require. That's the first issue. The second is that I need to give our pastor a screen so he can see what is happening from on stage.

I've done a bit of research on VGA splitters/amplifiers as well as CAT5 encoders but don't really know what's out there or what the benefits/costs of each is. My little experience with a CAT5 KVM tells me to stay away from this option, but I was using a cheapie unit - so I don't really know how good the quality gets with a good piece of HW. This option would be nice especially because I can use the building wiring to send additional video feeds to other "overflow" or "mom's" rooms - but I don't want to sacrifice quality.

In lieu of first talking to a salesperson who is very interested in selling me a product, I decided to come here for some real-world advice first. Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas I haven't even thought of would be more than welcome!

Thanks!

I am in the process of doing this EXACT same thing, except my run was about 175 feet. I just ran shielded Cat5 from the stage to the balcony where the sound booth is. I am testing VGA Baluns that use shielded Cat5 to send the video. So far the results have been so-so. The picture randomly disapears for a split second. Trying to figure it out before we put it into "production".

I would be curious to hear your experiences as you go.
