The NRA isn't perfect, but someone has to protect our rights from the constant attacks from the left. "The left today, a few thousand kids a year die, ban guns!" Also, "We need the right to kill and grind up fetuses, hundreds of thousands of them or more!"

The conservative media lies about abortions. In many cases things like taking a morning after pill is reported as grinding up fetuses.

I'm not saying it isn't a cause for concern on some level, but it isn't a "school shooting" in the way that school shootings are presented by the media. The media lies about school shootings. Ratings and narratives first, truth second.

I agree. I didn't say abortion shouldn't be done away with, but the left's stance is ironic. Also, a lot of abortions are in fact fetuses being ground up like ground chuck.

No, you're projecting a lot there. I said a gun going off at school is a cause for concern, that should be dissected and the cause discovered and actions taken to ensure it wouldn't' happen again, next time perhaps with much more dire consequences. But, it isn't a "school shooting" in the way the media and anti-2A leftist portray school shootings. But they gladly count it to inflate the numbers and sell their lie.

I want fewer shootings, but not at the further erosion of my constitutional rights. It'd be one thing if the left came up with anything besides further restrictions on guns.

What is wrong with armed security at a school? If they accidentally discharge their gun in the parking lot, THAT ISN'T A SCHOOL SHOOTING. I read in another case a stray bullet of unknown origin flying through a window was labeled as a "school shooting." Point is, the media inflates the number drastically.

No. I'm merely pointing out that the tragedy of violence (gun violence in this case) is played out on a daily basis all over this country - Chicago being a notable example. Mass shootings are certainly tragic. But statistically speaking, they count for a small percentage of gun deaths in the country. 2/3rds of all gun deaths are suicides. Take that out of the equation and mass shootings are still a small percentage. Doesn't mean that I don't care. I'm merely pointing out that libs use the event of a mass shooting to push for curtailment of constitutional rights when they ignore the tragedy that's played out on a daily basis in cities run by libs.
