10 year old Vogue model

It's been said that age is just a number. But, when it comes to modeling, it seems the younger, the better.

When you flip through the pages of any fashion magazine, you'll see 14- and 15-year-old models striking a pose.

But the question is, how young is too young?

In the modeling world, Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau is being called the next big thing. But little Thylane is only 10 years old.

The French Vogue magazine featured the very young model posing seductively.

While little girls like to play dress up, these photos show the 10-year-old provocatively staring at the camera, with her hip out and lips puckered.

I find this disturbing.
That is what you get when you are trying to sell something without healthy creativity. If only sex and shock value can sell a fashion magazine, then perhaps it is time the magazine existed no more. There is nothing wrong with modeling a new range of clothes. But when the model is more important than the clothing, who should we blame ? The designer, the magazine, or the model ? It is obvious that only the model can be interesting these days. I would therefore think we should blame the designers and the magazine, not the model.
She should be having fun with the little ponies, being a kid. Not being used to sell a magazine and in the process being brainwashed. It is all about the pose. What is she trying to express ?

You can advertise clothing for 10 yr olds with a 20+ yr old model?

You are missing the point.
The first picture is of a child obviously not wearing child clothing. Stiletto heels for 10 year olds ? Will be great for development of the spine, knees, ankles and hip joints.
The others wear clothes that are not really out of the ordinary, not much different when there are weeks of sunny days with high temperatures. When it comes to poses and to body language it is a different story. And that is the questionable case here. What is ethical and moral ? What is needed to sell fashion magazines and a new range of clothing ?

The first linked picture is very disturbing. The others aren't bad. 10 year olds can model clothing, done properly though.

First pic is visually awful. Shoes five sizes too big, a horrible shade of lipstick which makes her front teeth the focal point of the picture and whose application overemphasizes her lower lip, and a hairdo that's awful and unbalances her whole head.

Second pic I don't get. If they were going for "angelic" they should've done something with her hair. It looks like someone tried to position it for "flowing" and just ended up with "tangled rat's nest."

Third pic, top half is very well done.
But the bottom half... whoever designed those shorts should be put in jail as a child sexual predator.
My quick fix: (also took some of the "sex me up" sheen off her shoes, but couldn't do anything about the cut of either)

As for the last... Applejack does it better.

I was highly disturbed by the images in the OP.. then up came the first reply. Thanks, now I have to clean coke off of my keyboard. then came the tags. Thanks for the ab workout.

😛

In all seriousness, this kind of reminded me of the end of little miss sunshine. I thought the ending of that movie was very ironic and absolutely friggin hilarious. It seems fashion and pageant people are similar 😛

only one that is bad is the 1st. its not sexy or anything its just a bad picture. The shade of lipstick make her teeth look like she has bad buckteeth. those shoes do look a little sluttty but it really makes her feet look huge.

the rest are fine. a little silly but nothing bad.
