I bought a bunch of these a while back when they were 99c a pack and have been very pleased with them.

I wish I could say the same for the bestbuy site....what is going on there lately....geeeez!
 
I don't know much about CD-R/RW's. Is this a good price, and is there a real difference in the type/brand you buy? Any better or worse? Do they make an 80 min. version of these, and if so is there some reason they are better than the 74 minute version besides the obvious 6 minutes?
 
talking about a bad backended website...I wrote to bestbuy and all they can say is because of traffic. Compare traffic that Buy.com/Amazon/Staples gets, they only have traffic when stuff are on sale. Anyways, I tried to access the site like 50 times a day for the past week got in twice, even with T3 connection at work and DSL at home..no luck.

by the way, what color are those?? green/blue?
 
I have a Yamaha burner and it takes anything. I can throw sand in it and it'd find a way to make glass. When I got a 10 pack of Dysans with a rebate to make it free, it spit it out each and everytime. It wouldn't even start burning because it'd spit them out immediately. It's been over and year and I still have not received my rebate. Dysans are the only ones that I have trouble with. I actually got two 10 packs and out of 20 cd's, only 3 came out. Good luck.

That's weird. I have a Yamaha drive and they have worked very well.
I had problems with my last batch of Verbatims.
 
I don't have a CD burner at home, but my boss has one is his computer here at work. It's a Dell with a HP 8X4X32 drive. Out of 5 packs of these Dysans that I bought I only made 1 coaster, and that was because my boss opened Solid Works as I was burning a CD at 8X. The buffer on the drive must not be big enough, or you just can't do anything big when you are burning a CD. I don't think it was the CD's fault. I know these aren't super high quality, but they worked fine for me.
 
bestbuy sucks, I ordered 3 packs over 2 weeks ago, and shortly after they sent me email saying it's backordered. Well they continue to show in stock on their site. Also, anytime I order from bestbuy, takes over 2 weeks to get the product after they say they've shipped it. Oh not to mention how they pack stuff, it's like gee they can't possibly break cause the USPS and UPS handles em like eggs.
 
Continuing the Dysan saga, Got an email from BB that looks like they have some stock and are starting to process orders. "We wanted to let you know we have received and are presently processing your order."

I have a Plex 8432 and it loves these things.
 
I've personally had bad experiences with these discs. I've probably had 3 packs of Dysan discs over the last 2 years--I got them just because they were cheap, and I've regretted it every time--you'd think I would learn.

The audio burns I made have quickly degraded into pops and scratches--can't listen to any of the tracks anymore; the data burns I've made are almost completely erroded--It's useless to try to read anything from them, and what does read, reads very slowly because of the errosion on the discs.

The discs were burned in a 2X Acer CDRW. . . and I've had no problems with ANY other brand of discs except the Dysan discs. I would avoid them like the plague.

I burned a backup of my copy of diablo2 onto a Dysan CD at 8x on my HP9110i and it worked fine after running the game off it for 30 hours straight...

I have had no problems wioth these either, with a yamaha burner..

Altho, I am sueing best buy over this on march 17 in small claims court..

If any of you remember, they had these on their site for .99 with free shipping but advertised them as 12x with jewel cases.....not what they really were, which is 8x with sleeves

All in all tho, they are ok
