Its off the games, not the system. I'm pretty sure they have exclusions for sports games.

Also, thanks OP. I have some Xbox games to unload so this'll come in handy. I wonder if you're able to trade in several and get a game free or if they restrict it to one per game.

I believe the OP has this worded incorrectly.
I believe you get an extra 10% of the trade in credit of whatever game you're trading in.
Here's ebgames deal:

"10% bonus trade-in credit toward purchase of XB 360 game Active: Now - 11/21/2005
Trade-in any 1 or more preplayed PS2/XB/GC/GBA/DS/PSP/DVD titles and receive 10% bonus trade-in credit for each item towards the purchase of any 1 X-BOX 360 SOFTWARE. Boxes and Instructions are NOT required. No titles excluded from trade. May not be combined with any other offer or discount. Selection may vary by store. While supplies last. Typographical errors are not the responsibility of EB Games. See sales associate for complete details. Customer may be responsible for sales tax. "

I don't know what to make of this. Less than $6 a game seems weak to me.

Unless you want to have games on the launch date.

What do you mean? How does this deal impact on launch titles?

Now that's hot!!! I can dump all my old sports games!! I'll take less than $6 for those!!🙂

i'm still a bit lost, lets get a specific example, like say i trade in a worthless old game, how much would a new xbox 360 game cost me? 10% off? so 6$ off per crap game? unlimited numbers? so 10 old crap games for one new good one? also anyone know how long the deal lasts?

It sounds to me like you have an additional 10% of trade in credit if you put the money towards an Xbox 360 game.

Example:
Trade in a sports game where they would normally get $1. You will get $1.10 if you put it towards a 360 game.

Yes, after looking at their trade in page, I agree, and thus this deal becomes cold as ice once again.🙁

Ebgames usually rips you off on trade-ins/buying pre-owned stuff. Better to take ur stuff to eBay or friends. Even if the item/game is fairly new they will only offer so much. Remember it is how they make money.
