PAC donations are not tax deductible.

Contributions, gifts or membership dues made or paid to the National Rifle Association of America are not refundable or transferable and are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.

So what is your point? I joined as I am sure others did as well to support the organization, not to use the cost as a tax deduction. Stop trying to slip negative references in.

I don't know if it happens to new NRA members but if you're a long time member they tend to call a lot asking for more money by extending your membership or making a donation.

Every membership organization does that. I love the American Museum (of Natural History) in NYC, and we've been members for decades, but they still harass us ceaselessly for donations and additional memberships every year. At least those memberships are partly tax deductible. That said, this is still a good deal for those looking to join the NRA at a discount.

people always say they get tons of stuff in the mail and phones calls all the time.

I rarely get phone calls from them and never seem to get anything in the mail.

Maybe its because my dad paid for my membership?

Thanks OP. I was an NRA member a couple of years ago and opted not to renew, but I STILL receive email from them even though I've opted out and contacted them. Just use your mail provider's spam service and that should take care of it.

The initial deal may only be warm, but the $10 off with $25 gift cert from Bass Pro Shops seems hot.

Thanks for supporting the 2nd amendment and bumping the thread.

Got me a Membership, with the bass pro deal.
thanks for posting this deal. Between work and welding school leave little time find deal like these to help support 2nd Amendments rights.

I think its high time we round up all the gun owners for their weekly MILITIA TRAINING and MILILTIA ACTIVITIES (like cleaning the roads, building bridges, maintaining fortifications, etc). don't have time? hand the guns back then, or PAY someone to take your place

Please don't troll/thread crap in the Hot Deals forum.

Or we can "round up" the gun control nuts and they could clean roads, build bridges and maintain fortifications for the legally qualified, law-abiding citizens that possess the conviction and capabilities to defend them.

That way, the gun control nuts can still contribute to society while continuing to exhibit their liberal, self-righteous, undeserved attitude of superior virtue.

Just sayin'.....

Please take it to P&N and keep this stuff out of the Hot Deals forum. -Admin DrPizza

Younger people may not realize that 50 years ago gun ownership was well regulated. Government and NRA worked together to promote safety and well trained civilian marksmanship. You could get a surplus M1 for almost nothing and ammo to train with was free, and NRA training was free.

Not supporting the NRA is a very cold deal, supporting the NRA hot.

This isn't the P&N forum. -Admin DrPizza.

Please indulge me.

Here is what I don't get.

I posted several posts above where this "deal" isn't a deal at all and gave a list of links to demonstrate that it is in fact, the standard discount.

Meanwhile the "not hot deal" turned into a political thread with people being removed because they violated warnings.

Can someone explain to me why this wasn't treated like other similar "not hot deals"?

By taking it at face value (ie: as a typical "not hot deal" in this "Deals" forum) this "political" fight could have been avoided by the moderator negating the need for threats in the first place.

The Bass Pro Shop Deal was a good one and was properly moved to a "new thread"

Suggested with all due respect to the moderator, of course.

Regards,

John

It's clear that some members don't understand the rules and the warning posted by the admins.

This thread has now been monitored by three admins and it still continues to be pulled off topic.

It's now locked.
