What Happened to the other post on these? Seems like it got deleted. *edit* n/m...guess it's on the first deals page again *edit* Oh well. I picked up the last 2 packs made in Japan...lots of the others that I've heard bad things about. Try to go with the 100 pack which comes as 2 50 pack spindles, not the 100 pack single spindle. Now all I need is a drive faster than 6x ;-)

This is a hot deal. I bought the 100 pack (2x50) at 39.99 -20.00 (received in 8 weeks) at CompUSA in Nov. Not a coaster in the 35 or so I've burned so far. Good post!

It's hard to find because the author wasn't very descriptive in the subject. Just .100 CD for $10., or something like it. They also mention the differnt versions the 100 pack comes in. The single spindle of 100 is made in Taiwan and not the best available. The two 50 packs bundled together are made in Japan and are of better quality. They both have the same UPC code, so pick the one made in Japan if you have the choice.

D.

PS. Yes, you can have too many CDs, but I'll buy any for $5/50 or better. The TDKs from Japan just happen to be some of the better ones available. Lucky me. I bought 200 bringing my current blanks total up to... ~450. Ick, I think I'll have to tighten my buying policy, only CDs at tax or less. :p Maybe I should start burning copies of AOL CDs and hand them out. :D Let's see, 7 min/CD x 450 = 3150/60= 62.5 hours. Damn, better get busy... At least I'm not still using my 2x burner.

I tried to get someone to buy one also. He decided he would rather get the CompUSA brand 50 pack for $19.99 rather than spend $30 on 100 and wait for the rebate. Some people, huh.

you know, i was about to order this when i looked down and saw how many cdrs i have. between sporadic outpost orders, amazons $1.44 25 packs, the buy.com 2 50 packs of tdks, and others, i have about 500 blank CDrs, most of them 80 min. great deal--i've used these TDKs and they are top notch, but i'm going to pass =)

Hey shroom4,

Thanks for posting the great deal.
Did you happen to see Jimmy
Buffet get kicked out of NBA Miami Heat vs. N.Y. Knicks game?

LOL,

;)

Picked up 2 Spindles from CompUSA.

Someone was kind enough to post the CDRIndentifier readings on this media (there's several posts in Hot Deals for this same thing). In any case, these are Taiyo Yudens (Top notch media!).

As a rule of thumb, look for the 'Made in...' info on the package. 'Made in Japan' = GOOD!, 'Made in Taiwan' = okay.
