10 cents for each 4x6 digital print at WalMart B&M YMMV

I've used dotphoto to print scans of some black and white wedding photos and other color prints. If you are printing a lot of black and white photos, send them as a separate order. They use a color process for their printing and when you have a mix of B&W and color, it's not pretty. I ended up returning prints two different times but in the end they got it right and gave me a credit for my trouble. I think their customer service is good--responded to my requests promptly. They have run a sale the last two months for free shipping over $25 but I haven't seen an offer for October yet.

another photographer recommended them to me... about a year back they were just about the only good digital lab in the entire NYC area... things have changed somewhat and there's more shops to choose from, but these guys are still cheap and still good...

the guy who recommended them uses them mostly for big prints... i've seen his results and they're as good or better as any other pro lab i've tried (dotphoto is not a pro lab)...

i'm not sure how much shipping is, but i think it's "straight up cost"... my last order was for well over 500 4x6's and shipping was around $4, which is reasonable...

My local Walmart has them for 29 cents/4"x6" print. I called Costco and they said each 4"x6" print was 19 cents, 5"x7" was 75 cents, and 8"x10" was 2 bucks.

costco does it for 19 cents? mmmmmm ... anyone know the quality of costco's prints? there's a costco near me. it'd save me the trouble of uploading an entire cd's worth of pictures (especially on capped upload dsl)

I bought a ton of these last night. When the cashier told me they were $.27 cents each I said no way - they should be 10 cents each. I even mentioned this forum. She talked to a manager who said no WalMarts anywere have them for .10 cents a print. So I left without the pictures.

Zhulick, the largest size that epixel.com advertises on their site is 10x15. How did your friend get a larger size than that? Is it only for the B&M store?

I have several large stitched panoramic shots (thank you Canon) that I would love to blow up to 30-50" wide and get prints. I'd love to know where I can get a good quality print at a good price at that size.

i honestly don't know how he ordered them... when i see him next time i'll ask... most probably this was a custom order... i know for a fact that he picked them up at the place, rather than having them shipped...

they have a phone number listed, perhaps then can answer this question on the phone...

another places for big prints are ezprints.com and jumbogiant.com... i've ordered 30x40 from both before and they were pretty good...

just another vote for ofoto. while expensive, their prints are beautiful. i've only used them and shutterfly, and shutterfly was a long second.

gonna check out some of the other places mentioned here... i didn't even realize so many places did this now.

There is going to be a new Fuji Aladdin station setup in Wal-Marts around the country soon. You can bring in your own media to the station and you don't have to interact with the staff until you pickup your prints. You will just get a sales slip saying be back in one hour. You will be able to bring in your smartcards, compact flash, memory sticks, etc. Very cool and nice system. Look for it in the coming weeks.

I just picked up 20 prints from my local walmart - 2.40 == .12/each. I couldn't complain - they look very good - not quite as sharp as my ofoto prints, but clear, and unfortunately, on matte.

WalGREEN's is also rolling out the Fuji Aladdin system to its top 400 (by sales) stores. The one in Deerfield, IL (northern chicago suburb) has one, but they didn't have a list of the other stores. Pretty slick system, nice to work with....they charged 29 cents a print btw.

so where are these walmarts that have 10 cent/ 12 cent prints...can you say what town? maybe it's a special promotion for certain areas only.

That would be really cool. I wonder if/when my local Walmart is gonna get this system.

I noticed a week or so ago that my local Walmart has a new Fuji Frontier/Aladdin system. I'm anixous to try it. I'm more excited about seeing how well they do with processing good quality film from a good film camera, actually.

Well, I checked one of the Walmart's here in Colorado Springs and they charge $0.29 per picture.
