The 6 cases for 15 is much better for me since it comes out to around 2.50 a case instead of 3.50. I can get water at Costco for 3.50 a case I think.

Nah water at Costco (for Kirkland brand) is atleast 4.50 or maybe even 5.50. The poland spring is 6.50 i think. (Not sure because I havent gotten it in the last 2 weeks)

How long does this stuff last? What is the expiration date?

I know this may be a dumb question, but my wife and I don't drink bottled water that fast.

Got the water, Arrowhead brand, great deal. I would like to point out to those in California that you are not paying any CRV for this. This saves you $.05 per container if compared to Costco. Costco adds CRV. I am not sure about other states, but there is not recycling fees, taxes or delivery added to the order. $35 delivered, no better deal than this. I may order more.

Mine says it's good through March of 2005.

I am sure that that is a sell by date to ensure some type of freshness standards. Personally I would not worry about keeping bottled water around forever. What possible can go wrong with it.

Well it could get stagnant...I mean, yes there's technically nothing "in it" to go bad, but I'm sure that after being sealed in plastic for 3 years it might not taste quite as fresh. I'm sure that it wouldn't hurt you though.

Just picked up the water. It's Arrowhead brand (in Garden Grove, CA). Not my favorite brand of water, but at $15 ... woo hoo.

Also ... they didn't charge me tax. Is there no tax on water anyway? I picked up from the OD in Garden Grove, CA (corner of Euclid and Garden Grove, right next to CostCo).

Stagnation requires air. If the bottle stays intact, the water stays fresh. This all depends what you are saving it for. If you are saving it for doomsday, I do not think thay freshness will matter. Have some Mormon neighbors that have their storage water on the side of their house that has been there for many years, I wonder how well that stuff taste. If you are storing it since you got a good deal, you should start factoring storage cost in on your dealmaking, maybe you do not need that much. If you drink the recommended amount of water a day, this water will be gone long before this becomes an issue.

Bottled water will eventually go bad, especially once it is opened.

Try this: Drink most of a bottle, leaving less than one inch in the bottom, and put the bottle somewhere where it gets a few hours of sun. Check it in few weeks, you'll definatly not want to drink from it :disgust:

If a bottle is factory sealed, and you keep it in a cool, dry place (or even better cold like a fridge) it will keep for a few years.

An clean empty bottle completely filled with tap water will probably keep longer, since there is a higher clorine content. Just make sure you fill it to the top, with little or no air.

Seriously considering using the $25 off $75 to get 15 more cases. Wife wants me to drink more water, this is a good way to make sure that I do.
