[10.6-10.13] Canon A40 + 64MB CF for $200 AC @ OfficeMax

i just took a staples coupon to the woodbridge, nj OM store (i called around and seems in this area, only woodbridge had the a40's in stock). they let me use the staples coupon, but they said that if i use the coupon, i could not get the free CF. and if i wanted the CF, i could not use the coupon. initially, the guy asked if staples was also offering the free CF. i said i did not know. thus he gave me the choice... coupon or CF. i chose the coupon, but i think i can find a good deal on CF. so... for those NJ ppl around here... i think the woodbridge store might have one or two of these digicams left. and who knows... maybe u will have better luck then me... perhaps a different manager will be on duty and will let both the coupon and CF slide. good luck!

I too used the 50 off 200 staples coupon in the store (got the coupon from work). Got the CF card as well. The cashier gave me grief...yet the manager came right up and gave me the deal...no problem. It makes NO sense to me when employees have to hassle me when I was doing everything by the book. Yet, I LOVED it when I asked for the manager and he simply came up...and sold me the camera. GREAT DEAL!

Thanks guys for the sweat deal on the A40 . Called up Officemax and placed my order told the CSR that i wanted the A40 and the Lexar 64MB card , gave here the item #'s and she said no problem , but when i asked here to use the $50 off $250 coupon she said i needed the coupon # , i told here i didnt have it but i have the web page in front of me and thats where i saw it , she tranfered me to another CSR , This CSR said "would you like me to raise the price of your camera 1 penny for you so you can use the $50 off coupon" , i said sure 🙂

this is a really nice camera. I got in on this deal and I've had the camera for about 2-3 weeks now. Still haven't learned how to use all the features, it's madness.

I have to go pick up some NiMHs soon, the batteries that came with it are just starting to die.

by the way, i am thinking about doing the same thing u did to try to get the CF card... what is the item #'s? i can't seem to find the a40 on the OM website.
