Woohoo just got confirmation that both the Camera and the Memory shipped today! I was just emailing them this morning cuz the order disappeared from my order history and they asked me if i'd like to keep the order still so I said ok. Now I check my email and they both show up as delivered...finally!

yeah the C-3020 for $225 is a fantastic deal. That is the camera I really wanted, but it was a bit out of my price range and the A40 is a fantastic value. However it's a definite YMMV.

Well it's not out of your price range anymore 😉 Go to Target and see if you can find one. Nows the best time as they just dropped today and most stores don't even have them on display anymore. Ask them to check under the counter or in the back. If you find one, take that Canon back.
 
Well sometimes you can go a little crazy 🙂 Got my officemax package today. Then Dell shipped before I could cancel. So I will have 3 camera's come 10-18!! Selling one to the guy next to me at work...anyone want to buy an A40 for $214? 🙂 I'll probably just return it to Dell and be out a few bucks for shipping...or try and reject the package if I catch the UPS guy.

Then there is the C-3020...I'm going to call my Target and see if they have it in stock or not for giggles. Not crossing my fingers but that is a nice camera!
 
Just received my A40 and 64M card, those use to be backordered for more than a week.

8 days later than if they were instock, not bad.
 
just opened mine up and been playing with it for an hour or 2. This is my first digital camera, and I am incredibely impressed. The quality is fantastic, and it is really easy to use. Thanks for this deal!! 😀

Mine's made in Malaysia. It's worked well for the last two months, except that for a period of about one week, the aperature setting in manual mode wouldn't switch from large to small. Then it just started working again before I called Canon tech support.

Also, just yesterday, I had the misfortune of dropping it out of my camera bag from about 4ft off the floor at a restuarant. :disgust: Doh! Took a look at the camera and everything looks fine. The body and LCD didn't even get scratched.😀

Is there a link to this camera with 64MB/128MB card for $200. I donot see anywhere offering 64MB/128MB card. Can anyone post a link? I am looking for this camera.

Don't completely give up hope, people. I got mine today, after it had been back ordered since 10/6.

Gotta take back my OD A40 now.

Not bad. I just went with my friend to OfficeMax B&M last week cuz it wasn't available online and they told him it was on backorder. So I was just wondering how long he was going to have to wait till it comes in.

Also, the guy who put the order in for us just manually adjusted the price to $199 so we could have grabbed about $50 of flash for free by using the coupon but we decided that that would be dishonest. 🙂
 
Anyone else have dead pixel? I have one dead pixel that can be seen in dark conditions. Also the beeping sound of the camera is inconsistent, sometimes extremely high, sounds like the "speaker" is bad. Otherwise this camera is awesome.
