[10.6-10.13] Canon A40 + 64MB CF for $200 AC @ OfficeMax

Oh yeah! Just got mine camera today but, 64mb CF is still in backorder. Gonna take the one from OfficeDepot back. I can live without the 128mb CF as long as I can save $50.

Still can't believe Office Max would send my tiny box of paper clips in a BIG old box. How do they sleep at night...anyways thanks all.

Did yours come with shrinkwrap? Mine just came in a box that had no tape nor shrink wrap around it. That makes me think it might be reburbished... Did yours come with anything?

does the camera and all the packaging inside the box look brand new, or does it look like it's been handled before?

mine is still on backorder, but hopefully they will be able to get some more and fulfull these orders, its a whole new story if they are sending refurbished units out though.
 
I've received 2 A40s (one from Dell and one from Officemax from last months deal) and neither were shrink wrapped ... same with the s110 and s200 I got from Dell.

Still waiting to see if they fullfill the A40 I ordered last Saturday to. I actually only own the s200 ... the others were ones I was buying for friends who wanted me to look for deals for them.

No shrinkwarp but, looks pretty new and smells new. It still had the sticker on the LCD. The serial number on it was something like 49XXXXXXXX, where as the one I bought from Officedepot last week is something like 48XXXXXXXXXX.

I bought 2 from Dell, neither were shrinkwrapped. My guess is that they come like this as all the contents were new. Tape was still on the bags, there was a protective sheet on the LCD screen, batteries were shrinkwrapped. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless the outside tape is broken.
 
Just received my camera yesterday with my box of paperclips and 64MB memory card. I tried it out and it takes good clear pictures and the settings are easy to use. It is alot better than the HP 215 camera I bought with the $30 deal a while back.

Hey, all you people who ordered this camera, here is a little sample of what you can expect picture quailty wise with this baby:

As you can see, its pretty darn nice for $200, and it has a ton of "regular" cmaera features as well (you can fus with the ISO, Shutter speed, etc) that makes it better than similarly priced cameras. Have fun!

Well, here is another deal spinoff from this one.

I took the Office Max ad to Best Buy (OM was out of stock), and they said they would take the price of a 64mb CF card off of the $249.99 of the camera. Well....the lady grabbed the PNY 64mb CF Card that is $49.99 😀 So, I got the camera for $200.00.....

I am pretty sure it will work at any store, but maybe not.

Would be a nice combo with the 10% off coupon...of course, I never got mine this year 🙁

 
This figures lol. I go to Best Buy today and use my 10% coupon and pick up an A40. Then my status changes to "PIP" today at OfficeMax. So I might be getting this through OM after all. Oh well I guess I'll just return the BB one...the 64MB card is the keeper. Gotta cancel my Dell order too 🙂 At least I have one to play with now...
 
Check your orders now...mine has simply vanished from the website. No email, can't find the order number in the system. OfficeMax is suck 🙁

Yeah, I notice that too. Sometimes it would be there and sometimes it isn't but, it does eventually come up.

 
Now that I got my Canon A40 from Officemax, I took back the one I bought from Officedepot a week ago. Due to the $50 difference that Officedepot would not match, because it was an online purchased. Instead of giving me a refund of $265, the nice lady gave me a refund of $355. I believed she gave me a credit on the 128MB CF too, which was like $80+tax. But that 128MB CF was free with the camera a week ago. So, in the process, Officedepot paid $90 on my credit card.

When I questioned the nice lady about the difference. She told me not to worry about it, just as long as I returned everything on the receipt. Whatever that means.:Q
 
Yup, order is back. Still on PIP status. If I get the camera, my cube-mate is going to buy it and I'm going to keep the flash card and the Best Buy camera. *If* it comes.

mine is still backordered. 🙁

if you can't see your order on their webpage, just logoff and log back on. Their site is stupid sometimes and it won't show the order for me either...
