For being hundreds of feet into the ground, there sure is alot of ambient light in that hole!! (Director's eye can't help but point this out. Lots of movies make this mistake though, like when someone is trapped in a coffin but yet you can still see them.. Where is the light coming from!?)
 
Here's a thought....drop below the bomb and look up to actually see what you're doing.

The bomb will shield your eyes from the falling rocks....
