No clue. Just seemed like a decent deal. As far as KHypermedia CD-Rs/RWs are concerned, I'd put them in the "ehhh" category. Not pro-grade, but definitely decent.

Avoid KHypermedia DVD-Rs at all cost. In my view, they are the worst. Got some from OfficeMax when they were onsale ($15 for 10Pk) but kept on burning coasters. Need to return the rest to them. Totally trash. BTW, my drive is the Cendyne/Pioneer DVR-105 and I've used both Memorex DVD-R DVD-RW, and the Pioneer blank DVD-RW that came with the drive, all without problem. Tried Nero and InstantCopy so it's not the software.

stay away from khypermedia dvd-r, not a single successfull burn on my A04 and thats out of 10 tries.

NOTE: these are not princos. Princos burn just fine at 2x on my Pioneer A04

Have no problem burning these DVD-R w/ my Sony DRU-500A (Firmware 1.0G). Burned data dvd & copied DVD using Nero 5.5.10.15 & RecordNow MAX 4.5.

Bought these a few weeks ago at MicroCenter when they were on sale for $4.99/5 pk. BTW, these are made by CMC.

I have a Pioneer a104 drive and used this brand all the time, only coaster I ever had was when I was stupid and tried to use my computer while it was burning. I've probably gone through 25+ of these disks with out a single coaster
