So I need to be a vendor to do this?? I build PC's on the side but I don't necessarily have a company name or anything. Do I need to get a reseller license or something?

No you don't have to be a vendor...you just have to register with microsoft to become a partner, which takes about 5 minutes.

You forgot to mention that in order to get listed as a partner you have to have your own business, DOH!

No, I didn't forget that because you don't have to.

I just got a call yesterday from a Microsoft partner representative offering me the $99 action pack offer. So as of yesterday the deal is still good.

Anymore valid $99 codes still floating around?

The online codes are no longer valid. The only way to get the $99 discount offer is over the phone where a representative gives you the discounted rate.

But the original thread says they check to see if you were one of the organisations eligible for the discount from their database...i don't know if that's going to be a problem or not. The thread appeared to suggest calling to put yourself on that list, so that you would get a $299 charge on your credit card - a $200 credit = $99 actual cost.

Will try this on Monday...an incredibly hot deal, since any of those products alone is worth more than $99. A nice alternative to the $99 xp upgrade i was considering earlier...:)

Ok you're gloating about pirating software why exactly?

Anyways..I wish I had jumped on this for $99. But I don't really need all the software, as I have most of it. Still an awesome deal though.
