My god, Belgacom (the Belgian phone company) modify their prices today October 1st...
They lower the long distance calls tremendously but increase the local calls by more than 70 % !!!!!
This means that my internet connection will also cost 70% more from now on...
I hate them !!!

No, no real competition, Belgacom are the only phone company...

There are indeed a few other companies but they have to rent the lines to Belgacom and the rent will now be higher than the local communication price so that they cannot be competitive for local calls...

DSL is also through Belgacom, so even more expensive.

I was on internet through the cable last year but it is quite expensive (> 500$ a year).

This really sucks !!!
