Please feel welcome to help - any BOINC-project where the TeAm is participating, WorldCommunityGrid, Folding@home, Seventeen-or-Bust, etc. etc.
All help is appreciated.

Before we can share any ideas, please tell usd what computer(s) you have or how much resourses you could contribute with -

  • some projetcs are better with Intel-processors, others with AMD-processors,
  • some are happy with less than 400 KB RAM others need 3 - 4 GB RAM,
  • some also use certain graphics processors - again some are more for NVIDIA, others are more for AMD

Please let us know!

I would like to host folding boxes since I don't pay power
Peter, I think he meant that if anyone has extra boxes that they cannot run because of electricity costs, he would be willing to plug them in at his apartment?

This may work for someone that lives close to him and could deliver, but I think shipping costs would be prohibitive?

Thanks, dowxp, for looking for ways to help!

yup, shipping costs probably won't be a big deal. i'm sure in some instances, i can buy the case myself or run without a case.

Ignoring power usage, what would be the best way to help? I don't have the money to buy dual nahelem xeon boxes or 4x295's either. I would like to host folding boxes since I don't pay power .. but I don't know how to go about it or if anyone would even be interested. Anyways, just a thought.

I doubt you have all bills paid. Have you ever looked for webhosting...and found one with unlmited bandwidth and space? They claim you can get as much as you want, but in the end it´s unlimited until they think you have used to much. I bet you apt has some sort of an alottment setup....if you go over that they will charge you.
